This biblical still-life composition is a reenactment of the story of Mankind as told by Jesus in the parable of the Prodigal Son. A King had two sons and the younger son asked for an early inheritance. His father reluctantly gave it to him and he left the Kingdom for a distant land where he squandered all of it and was desperate enough to eat food reserved for pigs. His mind became born anew and he returned to the Kingdom, where his father received him with a feast. Whenever we feel lost in life, it is because our imagination has wandered away from home.

The nest signifies the kingdom of Heaven or the presence of God, a place where we have a great connection to all things beautiful - health, wealth and happiness. The eggs in the nest are those who have remained in the presence of God and the egg on the left edge of the nest is God welcoming the son or anyone who decides to return the Kingdom.
